Film Proposal and Short Story v. Film

For my film proposal essay I want to do the story The Yellow Wallpaper. I really enjoyed this story and thought you could make it either into a murder mystery or a horror film. The story allows for lots of details to be inserted that can fit right along with the plot of the story. She spends lots of time by herself and can see lots of different things in it. I think it would be interesting to have the woman in the wallpaper talking to her and maybe even convincing her to do different things throughout the house.

Two differences in the movie and short story are, in the movie he is never convinced his wife is behind his set up and in the story he never gets his eyes replaces. In the movie getting his eyes replaced adds a certain futuristic element to the movie and shows how different the culture is from today.
