Girl, Gorilla My Love, and Everyday Use

In all of the stories I agree with the older generations. I think that the older generations are just trying to make sure their kids grow up the right way, this is especially seen in “Girl.” I think it is for a good cause because her mother is just trying to tell her how to become a good well rounded woman and she doesn’t seem interested. In “Gorilla My Love”, Hazel is extremely stubborn and doesn’t seem to have any respect for authority. Hazel seems to like creating conflict and this seems to be a trait of the younger and not the older generation. Last, in “Everyday Use” Dee seems to be very spoiled and ashamed of the way that her family lives. In all of the stories, there is a conflict with the generations in the story.
