My favorite story that we read was definitely the Veldt. I think I loved this story so much because I have been to Africa and have heard the sound that he described so well. It was very entertaining because there was so much foreshadowing, and still the reader didn’t expect what was going to happen to the parents. I also really loved A Rose for Emily and The Yellow Wallpaper. I loved reading into the symbolism of the stories, and The Yellow Wallpaper made me laugh a lot. I also loved the surprise at the end of A Rose for Emily. They both were really entertaining to read, and held my attention the whole time.
My least favorite story was Gorilla, My Love. I was really hard for me to get into, and I wasn’t interested in the story at all. Usually it doesn’t take long for a story or a book to capture my attention, but I just didn’t enjoy that story.
